Your job as a Sales Manager
As a Sales Manager/trader/export manager Milk Powder, you will be responsible for the buying and selling of various milk powders. Maintaining strong relationships with your (potential) customers is essential in this role. You will conduct business visits and attend trade fairs. Additionally, you will closely monitor the market, recognising and seizing opportunities and possibilities.
Your role will consist of three main activities:
- You will be responsible for the sales of milk powders and other dairy ingredients. While taking over some existing customer accounts, you will also focus on finding and securing new customers. Our (target) customers are located not only in Europe but also in regions such as Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. These customers include both direct end-users of the ingredients as well as markets served through agents and distributors.
- In addition to sales, you will also be responsible for the procurement of milk powders and dairy ingredients. You will further develop commercial relations with existing supplier accounts while also focusing on finding and securing new suppliers. Our suppliers are primarily located within Europe. You will regularly travel to customer or supplier destinations and participate in or visit trade fairs, where you will meet with existing and potential customers and suppliers.
- Lastly, you will work on market analysis and timing buying and selling decisions in a volatile market. You will closely monitor the dairy market, staying informed through market reports, price indexes, and discussions with the team. You will develop a strategic vision of where the market is headed and determine the best actions to take in order to benefit from market fluctuations and manage risks in your buying and selling decisions.
